Silvia Barteková /Ďurovcová/

Based in Prague, Berlin, Bratislava

Silvia is an abstract artist and set designer whose creative path began in early childhood. Guided toward creativity through music, dance, and visual arts, she developed an intuitive artistic sensitivity from an early age.

Her work evolved from figurative, dream-inspired imagery toward abstraction, which she perceives as a space of true freedom. Through balanced composition and interconnected colours, Silvia explores harmony as the core of her visual language, avoiding concrete forms that might limit emotional openness.

She studied painting, spatial design, and scenography in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Estonia, and has exhibited her work throughout Europe.

„Art has always been a part of my life, something constant, not divided into separate forms or phases. As a child, I danced and played the piano, which naturally led me to theatre and an interest in stage design. My paintings are a reflection of all these experiences, blending them together as I explore composition, patterns, and color – always with a focus on how they make a person and their space feel.“
